A transparent fee page should show when each charge becomes known
Some costs are fixed before purchase; others cannot be final until the seller ships domestically or the warehouse packs the parcel. Label every line as known, estimated or final. That is more useful than presenting one low “from” price that excludes the most variable parts of the order.
Publish the charging unit for every fee
“Service fee ¥500” is incomplete unless the buyer knows whether it is per item, per order, per seller transaction or per parcel. The same applies to payment percentages, packing charges and storage. A reproducible fee model is easier to trust and easier to compare.
Distinguish avoidable and unavoidable costs
Item price and applicable carrier freight are unavoidable once the buyer selects the product and shipment. Optional photos, reinforcement or faster delivery are choices. Domestic shipping may be seller-dependent. Labeling each layer helps the buyer optimize the parts they can actually control.
Use the live Proxy Japan schedule for service-specific amounts
Proxy Japan’s current fee, storage and optional-service schedule should be the source for service-specific amounts. Keep each charging unit explicit and publish worked baskets so shoppers can reproduce the total instead of inferring it from a headline minimum.
What the interface should make explicit
For fees, the service should show which facts come from the Japanese source, which amounts are estimates, which stage is waiting on a seller or warehouse, and what action the buyer can still change. On Japan Proxy Fees, that separation tells the buyer whether the unresolved issue is source evidence, money, timing or the physical shipment, instead of hiding all four behind one generic status.
A worked fee example should be reproducible
When the production Proxy Japan schedule is known, show an example such as: item price, Japan domestic delivery, service fee with charging unit, payment/FX amount, optional warehouse handling, packed international freight and import collection. Label which values are estimates and link each service-controlled charge back to the published fee rule.
Avoid “from” pricing without the trigger
If a fee starts at a low amount but increases by item count, category, marketplace, weight or optional plan, state the condition beside the number. A buyer should be able to predict why their order differs from the advertised minimum.
