Forwarding and proxy purchasing solve different problems
Package forwarding is strongest when you can complete the Japanese checkout yourself and only need a Japan address plus international shipment. A proxy purchase is needed when the seller requires a Japanese payment method, account, phone number or bidding workflow. Choose the service model based on the checkout barrier you actually face.
Forwarding assumes you can complete the Japanese purchase yourself
If your card works, the store accepts your account, and only a Japanese delivery address is missing, forwarding may be enough. If the store requires a local payment method, auction account or seller communication, a proxy purchase service solves a different problem.
Forwarded parcels still need export-compatible contents
A warehouse address does not make every item shippable overseas. Batteries, aerosols, liquids, oversized goods and regulated products can still be restricted by the selected carrier or destination rules.
What the interface should make explicit
For package forwarding, the service should show which facts come from the Japanese source, which amounts are estimates, which stage is waiting on a seller or warehouse, and what action the buyer can still change. A Yahoo auction requires a Japan-side account and bidding action, or a seller needs local payment the buyer cannot make. A forwarding address solves only delivery; the buyer still needs a proxy to execute the transaction. Distinguish those services clearly before charging for either one.
