Overview
The best shipping method depends on the finished parcel.
Do not choose a carrier based only on brand familiarity.
Compare the actual parcel against destination, weight, dimensions, product type, delivery speed, tracking, compensation limits, and restricted-item rules.

Choose after packing
JPS finalizes shipping options after the parcel has been prepared.
At that point, the warehouse knows actual weight, dimensions, contents, battery configuration, and parcel count.
That makes the comparison more meaningful.
Postal and courier services behave differently
International services may differ in speed, tracking, dimensional-weight rules, size limits, remote-area surcharges, customs handling, and compensation.
One method may be better for a small card parcel while another may work better for a dense camera shipment.
Fast shipping is not always the best value
Express courier services can be useful for valuable items, time-sensitive orders, strong tracking, and predictable delivery windows.
But they may also use dimensional weight aggressively.
Postal services can work well for compact parcels
Postal options can be competitive for books, small collectibles, clothing, and compact used goods.
Availability depends on destination and parcel characteristics.
Surface or economy methods
Economy services may reduce shipping cost when available, but delivery can take significantly longer.
Use slower shipping only when the product is not time-sensitive, the customer accepts longer transit, the carrier supports the contents, and compensation terms are acceptable.
Batteries can restrict available methods
For electronics, check whether lithium batteries are installed, spare, damaged, or above carrier limits.
This can remove some shipping methods from the available list.
Oversized products
Special care is needed for fishing rods, large model kits, helmets, large figures, and musical equipment.
A product may fit the warehouse but exceed a particular carrier’s size limits.
Tracking and compensation
Before selecting a method, review tracking availability, compensation limit, claim procedure, and excluded contents.
Carrier shipping protection is governed by the selected carrier’s terms.
JPS assists with eligible claims.
JPS shipping charge
JPS charges actual carrier rate — no JPS markup.
Packing starts from ¥500 per international parcel.
Practical method selection
Choose the shipping method after answering:
- Is this parcel compact or bulky?
- Does it contain batteries?
- How valuable is the shipment?
- How quickly is delivery needed?
- Is strong tracking important?
- Is the carrier compensation adequate?
