Overview
Rakuten Japan is a marketplace made up of independent stores.
That means the product page must be treated as one specific merchant offer.
Two stores can sell the same product with different:
- prices
- stock
- shipping
- dispatch timing
- store rules

1. Confirm the exact store offer
Before purchase, check:
- merchant/store name
- product
- variation
- quantity
- stock
- item price
- Japan domestic shipping
- expected dispatch
2. Compare the full Japan-side cost
Do not compare only the displayed item price.
A lower-priced store can still cost more after domestic shipping.
3. Check store-specific terms
Some stores may have:
The merchant matters as much as the product.
- purchase limits
- preorder conditions
- dispatch delays
- product restrictions
- store-specific return rules
4. Keep separate store orders separate until warehouse arrival
Different Rakuten merchants may ship independently.
That is normal.
JPS provides 60 days free storage so the customer can wait for eligible purchases.
5. Consolidate after arrival
JPS consolidation is free.
Final parcel packing starts from ¥500.
Wait until the actual products arrive before deciding what should be combined.
6. International shipping
JPS charges actual carrier rates with no shipping markup.
Final shipping depends on:
- actual weight
- dimensions
- destination
- contents
