Overview
The cheapest proxy is not always the service with the lowest purchase fee.
The real cost is the amount paid from Japanese checkout through international shipment.
A useful comparison should include every cost layer that applies to the actual order.

Start with the full cost
A proxy order can include:
The only fair comparison is the total cost for the same basket.
- item price
- Japan domestic shipping
- proxy fee
- payment-related costs
- storage
- optional photos
- packing
- international shipping
- destination-country import charges where applicable
JPS purchase-stage costs
JPS charges:
¥300 per purchase request
Japan domestic shipping is charged at the seller's actual amount.
Example:
- Item: ¥7,000
- Japan domestic shipping: ¥0
- JPS fee: ¥300
- Due now: ¥7,300
JPS warehouse costs
Included:
Optional or conditional:
- basic receiving check
- 60 days free storage
- eligible consolidation
- item photos: ¥500/item
- packing: from ¥500 per final international parcel
- parcel unpacking: ¥1,000
- repacking/splitting: new packing fee applies
- additional storage after the free period
International shipping
JPS charges:
Actual carrier rate — no JPS markup
This matters because international shipping can become the largest cost for:
- figures
- shoes
- model kits
- electronics
- large multi-order parcels
Why one cheap item can still be expensive
Suppose an item costs ¥1,000.
Even with a low proxy fee, the final delivered cost still includes warehouse packing and international freight.
That means low-priced goods often become more economical when combined with other compatible purchases.
Consolidation is free
JPS does not charge a separate consolidation fee for eligible orders.
Customers pay for the final international parcel packing.
This avoids charging once to combine the goods and again simply because they were combined.

Compare three order types: Several small items

Compare three order types: One bulky item
Shows whether dimensional shipping dominates the total cost.
Use the delivered-cost formula
For JPS:
Item price + actual Japan domestic shipping + ¥300 purchase fee + packing from ¥500 + optional services + actual carrier international shipping = proxy-side delivered-cost basis before destination-country import charges
This is more useful than advertising one low number without showing the rest of the transaction.
