These seasonal Yokkaichi pears (Hosui) are semi-dried without any added sugars or flavorings. While the raw pears have a sugar content of around 13%, we've dried them to a sugar content of 75, preserving the texture of the pear. The lack of added sugar results in a refined sweetness. We cut 3L-sized pears into 1/8ths, reducing their weight after drying to 1/10 of the raw equivalent, resulting in a concentrated flavor. Each pear contains 4-5 pieces (20g). While delicious on its own, they can also be used for pinchos with cream cheese, or as a stylish appetizer. Try marinating them in white wine for 20 seconds in the microwave, then adding them to a marinade of olive oil and vinegar to marinate vegetables and seafood. Please note that some fruits may not be available depending on the season, so we have created a set featuring seasonally recommended fruits.
