[La Porte Blanche] This restaurant represents Hirosaki, a city known for its Western-style buildings and French cuisine. Owner-chef Nobuyuki Shirato moved to France in 1989 and honed his skills at Vichy's Pavillon Sévigné (one star) and Petit Presny's La Promenade (one star). He opened his first restaurant, Porte Blanche, in 1995. Since then, the restaurant has been beloved by fans both within and outside the prefecture as a French restaurant known for its signature sauces. In 2019, he opened his second restaurant, La Porte Blanche, which pursues a classical French style.
