白や淡い色の粘土に5％〜10％の練り込み絵の具を混ぜて、色粘土を作れます。 色粘土を2〜3種練り合わせると、縞模様・市松模様・渦巻き模様の焼き物を作ることができます。焼成温度・・・1100〜1200℃※1240℃前後迄使用可能です。 還元焼成の場合は変色する事があります。 発色テストをしてから本使用してください。練り込み絵具の使い方（白い粘土に練り込んで使います）1．使用する粘土に対して重量比で3〜10％の練り込み絵具を用意します。混ぜ込んだ時の生地では分かりづらいですが、5％程度で十分な発色をします。薄いとなかなか発色しませんのでグリーンと黒は10％加えるようにして下さい。また素焼きの時と透明釉を掛けて本焼きしたときでは、本焼き後の方が濃くかんじられます。2．用意した練り込み絵具を乳鉢にとり、水を少し加え予め絵具を作っておきます。（泥のような状態が目安です。粉末のまま混ぜてしまうとそのまま粒子が残ってしまう場合があります。3．粘土に指で穴をあけた所に絵具を入れ、練るという作業を何度か繰り返し少しずつ着色します。4．練り込んだ粘土は、どの色を混ぜたのか分かるようにしておきましょう。（練り込んだ生の状態では色が薄く、識別しにくくなります）
You can make colored clay by mixing 5% to 10% kneaded paint with white or light-colored clay. Mixing two or three types of colored clay allows you to create striped, checkerboard, or spiral patterns. Firing temperature: 1100-1200°C (can be used up to around 1240°C). Discoloration may occur if fired in reduction firing. Please conduct a color test before use. How to use kneaded paint (mixed into white clay): 1. Prepare 3-10% kneaded paint by weight based on the clay you are using. While it may be difficult to tell from the initial mixture, about 5% will produce sufficient color. If the amount is too thin, the color will not develop easily, so try adding 10% for green and black. Furthermore, the color will appear darker after firing than when bisque-firing and then applying a transparent glaze. 2. Place the prepared kneaded paint in a mortar and pestle, add a little water, and prepare the paint in advance. (The goal is for the clay to have a mud-like consistency. If you mix it in as a powder, some particles may remain. 3. Pour paint into the holes you made with your finger and knead it several times to gradually color it. 4. Make sure to keep a record of the colors you mixed into the kneaded clay (the colors will be light and difficult to distinguish when it is raw).
