OLEG Resin Boots, Split Resin Drive Shaft Boots, New Release January 23, 2006. The resin body is melted using a welding agent. A unique welding agent eliminates the need for heating. The special joint shape increases the welding area, significantly enhancing weld strength. Drive shaft boots are rubber covers located at the base of the shaft connecting the engine and drive wheels. Drive shaft boots are made of rubber and will deteriorate and become damaged over time. The inside of the boot contains grease, which smooths wheel rotation and steering movements while protecting the bearings. If the boot breaks, the grease inside can fly out due to centrifugal force, causing bearing deterioration and unpleasant squealing. Continuing to use a deteriorated boot can damage the bearings and potentially require replacing the entire drive shaft. Split drive shaft boots are a split type that can be easily replaced without removing the shaft.
