At first, the plant is low and close to the ground, but later, the flower stalks elongate and produce numerous flowers. This variety has a sturdy, horizontal growth and grows well as a clump. [About the Ise Miyabi Series] This Christmas rose was created through a unique crossbreeding process at Akatsuka Botanical Garden. From a large number of plants, we carefully selected those that were superior in both quality and aesthetics. These varieties are propagated using tissue culture (mericlon) techniques developed for cymbidiums and rhododendrons, so there is no risk of unexpected flowering or variations in quality, as with seedlings. While Christmas rose seedlings tend not to bloom until they are fully established, Akatsuka Botanical Garden's original Christmas roses are characterized by their vigorous growth and early first blooms. The Ise Miyabi series is an Orientalis-type Christmas rose. Once the plant is fully established, it will generally bloom between January and March, depending on the region. [Note] Plants are generally shipped without buds. You can enjoy the full blooms of Christmas roses from the spring of the second year after delivery.
