When Buyee stops fitting the basket
Buyee Cart’s published ¥500 purchase fee per order is easy to understand, but order count is only one cost driver. An alternative becomes worth testing when your buying pattern creates many source orders, when you need a different Yahoo Auctions workflow, or when storage, consolidation and packing options matter more than a simple fixed-price checkout.

A Buyee alternative test
Use the same three listings on both services: one Mercari item, one store item and one bulky collectible. Record whether each listing can actually be purchased, how the service groups charges, what Japan domestic delivery is expected, and when the warehouse can provide a final outbound quote. This reveals workflow differences that a fee banner cannot show.
Switch only for a measurable improvement
- lower delivered total on the same source basket
- marketplace or auction access Buyee does not provide for that order
- warehouse handling or storage that materially improves your consolidation plan
- payment or carrier options that reduce real friction at your destination

When staying with Buyee is rational
If Buyee can execute the exact sources you use, its order-level charging suits your basket, and the warehouse/shipping workflow meets your needs, moving platforms for a small theoretical saving may add more operational risk than value. The alternative should win on the complete order, not merely on one fee row.
